Welcome to the Sutter County Democratic Central Committee!

The Sutter County Democratic Central Committee (SCDCC)
coordinates the activities of the Democratic Party throughout Sutter County - registering new voters; getting out the vote (GOTV); recommending candidates and giving endorsements; organizing events and directing resources to support local, state and national candidates.

The SCDCC is charged with overseeing the Party's local activities and campaigns under the general direction of the California Democratic Party.

Cinco De Mayo Fiesta
You are invited to our Cinco De Mayo Fiesta!

We’re having a party—and you’re invited!  Please come celebrate Cinco de Mayo with us on Friday, May 3, at the Five Rivers Restaurant in Yuba City.  The fun starts at 5:30 pm.  You will find this a great opportunity to see old friends, meet new friends, and just have fun.  The evening will feature a wonderful selection of Mexican food, light beverages and a no-host bar, guest speaker, awards, and a raffle for some spectacular prizes!  This is a not-to-be-missed event for both old hands and newcomers as well, in an authentic fiesta atmosphere.

Tickets for the Fiesta are only $25 each and come with a generous helping of fun and excitement!  Please let us know you’ll be attending by calling Angel Diaz, our new Chairman, at 530-415-1606.

We have attached a flyer (click on the link at bottom of this page)...  please share with your Democratic friends, or those that should be registered as Democrats!

Volunteer Now!
We always welcome those of you who are interested in helping with the Party. We have a presidential election year coming up, which is an exciting time to get involved.  We are planning now, so this is an ideal time to get signed up.  Whether you can help on a regular basis or just one day, we can accommodate just about any schedule.  If you are interested, but not sure what you are good at or how much time you will have available, just ask for information before making a decision.  You can contact us (above) by clicking on Volunteer or contact the Chair, Angel Diaz, directly by phone or email (info on the left).  We will focus on making sure you have a rewarding experience, so that you win in the process of helping candidates win.  That's the goal; a win-win situation.

California Democratic Websites
California has, by far, the most Democratic clubs of all the States and many are taking advantage of the free website service offered by the CDC.  The CDC has materials and trainings available, plus is working with other organizations to bring training and assistance to Democratic clubs.  Visit the CDC website at http://www.cdc-ca.org/ for a schedule of trainings, contact information and to volunteer.

Progressive Caucus reinstated at EBoard
Sutter County Delegates, Jeannie and Dale Klever attended California Democratic EBoard meeting and voted to reinstate the Progressive Caucus, along with hundreds of others, after declaring support for the re-election of President Obama and support for the 99% in the Occupy Movement.  Previous to the vote on Sunday, the Progressive Caucus was able to gather members of #Occupy from cities around the State on Saturday night, including Sacramento, San Francisco, Oakland, Fresno, San Diego, Los Angeles and a Californian who went to New York.
